My version of implicit is very weak. More the result of habit than a deep unknowing.
I think there is a choice involved at almost every juncture.
The pull of the crowd could be strong. The pull of habit could be strong. But I don’t think it’s completely unconscious.

I don’t think there is a privileged position for most of what we may consider implicit categorization acquired beyond the age of 7 or so.
The testing about “reading comprehension” requires skills that a seven-year-old would probably not have but an 11 year old neurotypical may.
I’m referring to the shallow social ontologies that may become habit but aren’t core.
