Interesting case indeed. I don’t have strong opinions about guns, gun control laws, AR15s vs whatever
At the same time, I don’t know how I feel about stand your ground laws either. The potential for misuse is extreme (the word of a person with a gun vs dead people who don’t talk and nobody as “speaker for the dead” is bothersome) and one could argue that a decent security system could have eliminated the need for corpses. But that’s another direction.
As far as the girl being charged for murder? That’s a tough one too. That’s only a step or two away from charging parents for the actions of their children, which in some places they are. [they brought the kid into the world, therefore they’re liable? Some people believe that].
So I dunno.
