Once a deep inspirational thought I thunk.

Once
a deep
inspirational
thought
I thunk.

“A-ha!”, I cried
Began writing like a monk.

The minutes, the hours, the days flew by.
Weeks and months went away,
But to me it was but a single day.

Then as suddenly as it started
It was done.
I had not a further word.
My task, its course, had run.

I looked upon the Masterpiece
I imagined all it would inspire!
Then I realized I’d have to market it,
and threw it into the fire.
