Ok. Let’s say you’ve just arrived in your country. You know nobody. There’s no social services that you’re aware of. What do you do?

You have no cash. It’s day time. You have clothes on your back that are reasonable.
I’ll kick it up a notch: Nobody understands your language and you don’t understand theirs.
Ok. Why do you beg, steal and/or find work?

 Ok. You’re a human among other humans. Presumably they’re aware of basic human needs. Why these difficult steps?
So, what is this thing that prevents basic needs and why is it difficult to get?
What is it that a stranger could do to you, outside of murder of physical harm, that would cause guardedness?

Oh I understand. When I think of businesses, i think of 50+ employees. Mom+pop, family business, self-employed are in a different ,more precarious category

any company large enough has all of that already included in the bottom line of the individual that’s hired. There’s “extra” room in the budget for those kinds of things.

So, let’s say you make 100k/yr. That company will probably have 150k allocated for you, because it may cost them 50k in ‘nonsalary’ things such as fuses, etc.
exactly. Or when giving a time estimate for a job, make the estimate 3x longer than you expect it to take if possible, to allow for issues
