ok. I’m gonna put where I grew up to the test. This is going to be tough for me. Ok. Now this is a map of Food Deserts I found; I guessed New Jersey would have one and they do. My house was approximately where that dot is. Suburban town, 1 square mile. That circle I drew is APPROXIMATELY the most I would regularly feel comfortable traveling. I’d occasionally work a little outside of this area, but generally speaking, this was “my range”. Knowing what I know of these areas, this is accurate. I had a wide range of travel here (I had to put an X through an area that I never went to – made it too big), but outside of these zones, I just didn’t go. It’s very subdivided into official and unofficial neighborhoods. It’s not that you technically CAN’T cross lines into other neighborhoods, you just don’t.
