Ok, I was trying to figure out WHY looking at far off “cousins of cousins of cousins”, even if the far far off cousins had NO OBVIOUS PATH to me, ALWAYS ends up returning to another close cousin. It’s because I’m at the focal center as I turn and look around at various connections. As long as the connections are connect to each other, EVENTUALLY I’ll hit upon a closer relative. [the animation I REALLY wanted to make/find would be a spinning fan with ropes and nets hooked to it but as such a contraption would tangle up quickly, I guess it doesn’t exist. But this illustrates it as well, as the disappearing edges of the squares (representing no obvious path to me) return to view but a different color and shifted over]
