Oh yes it’s very stressful – the scheduling things is probably the hardest of it all. How do I pace myself? What do I work on now? There’s no lecture-times this time around; I’m in 3 classes with zero scheduled lectures so I’m free to do the work ‘whenever’. and this is ideal and yet also there’s the additional trouble of “ok i’m freer than I would be otherwise so how do I manage this time?” so I’m learning more about how I operate than I knew before in the process. Something will bother me and I have to ask myself 20 questions; why does this bother you? Does it need to bother you? What if you acted as if it didn’t bother you? Is there a time limit to this? Will it go away on its own? What if you tackled it head on? What’s the least you can do to make progress? What can accomplish the most with the least effort? what if you hyperfocus and do it all at once? ” etc.
