Oh ship of theseus is even easier. my take is that it’s an anaogy to the self and regeneration – how we both are and were also not at the same time. We’re the same as we were yesterday (me) while ALSO not the same as yesterday. That sort of thing. A both/and is the answer i find. Works well for a lot of things that seem paradoxical, the problem being the excluded middle of the either/or rather than much to do with the question itself.
