Oh I’m not objective in a complete sense, rather I’m “viewing it from the outside”, which is technically objective but it’s really “subjective” objective. [ie just my view]
rather than complaining about my stereotyping, correct it. I’ve exposed my bias.
Ah. I did not include them because the very philosophy of “fuck it” means a lack of devotion. Nihilism is an edgy western form of buddhism sorta, but not really.
There’s clustering, sure but I’d divide in the “Decline Of Western Civilization / Opportunist” camp vs “Progress is good / Opportunist” camp.
I can’t say I believe fully in a “natural evolution of society” – there are certainly cycles, rises and falls and stuff.
But technology + globalism with first newspapers, radio, TV, then internet, it took the Silk Road’s ideology spreading and turned it into a democratization of information. The center of it matters less than its existence at this point.
The internet by its very STRUCTURE is agnostic to what it’s passing, so if you aren’t welcome to transmit your data ‘this way’, there’s always another way. Even in strict China there’s ways through. It’s built-in.
I look forward to roots of plants and the natural salinization of minerals to work as a low-harm background wifi for connectivity.
It won’t be good enough to watch Youtube but it could be a “backdrop” support for faster overlapping systems. So long as it’s ecological (systemically minded), I have no problem with it, piggybacking on mineral transport through plants.
[it’s just a stupid idea I thought up a long time ago but still can’t see any drawback to it. I’m sure somebody else thought of it too and is working on it. If I’ve learned anything, ANY idea I have is ALSO thought up by 1000 or 1000000 others too, and at least a few are actively pursuing it. So I just have to wait]
