Oh, I’m constructing my own way of looking at things. I look for “look-alike” notions that ‘fit’ how I think, give them a shakedown and see what sticks to the wall.
I avoid documentaries, complete theories, private consultations.
That’s why I only talk about stuff in public or in groups of people. Prevents undue influence bidirectionally.
I limit my source materials to a broad but ever narrowing scope, although I go back and recheck notions I discarded now and again to see if I missed something.
[for example: Just in the last 15 minutes, I tested semantic folding by getting an API for the company that does a “16,000 dimension fingerprint”. I ran some texts through it. I can see its value for certain things but I’d expected a bit more ontology building capabilities. [I’d have to provide my own it seems]. Plus, it didn’t do much in the way of parsing text beyond a very broad “slice(word(token(16000 dimension grid))”, although it had a basic POS tagger, which I have.
I don’t know where I’ll end up but I feel like a vulture descending upon ‘something’ and its features are getting more defined as I go.
