Oh I like the feel of this. I don’t know the story it’s for but as I’m listening, there’s definitely running and with kind of an intense warrior feel. Flutters of heartbeat or whatever’s pursuing is alien but I lean towards heartbeat flutters of refocusing on pursuit target.
I don’t know what a QG is. GQ is Gentleman’s Quarterly, old men’s mag. Probably comic lore or video game lore that’s outside my scope.
But Zimmer’s stuff is always good and tells a story.
Oh but it doesn’t. It’s just that it’s not obvious anymore.
Favorite part of any song is the drop but not the drop itself but the gap inbetween. Made it the subject of a few Vines way back.
From my more clowny days. Aug 2013. Probably my 30th of 12000 Vines so it was super primitive but the software had no editing capability. iPhone 4s too. So primitive now. But it gets the point with my comedic fall. (I was mocking those who crash or fall at gaps).
2 yrs later, Feb 2015,
I was far more sophisticated. It was definitely a strange unique era. Still innocent.
I should say “Now that I’ve embarrassed myself” but nah. It’s just a thing.
I highlighted this pattern a lot during my “musical analysis for the brain dead” Vines because, frankly, I love it.
The dramatic rise, pause, keyword, drop pattern is very similar to dramatic movie score pattern, just compressed simplified and popularized.
But it accomplishes a similar effect at a tempo and format that works for a lot of folks who might not otherwise get to enjoy that “where am I?” sensation, as that pattern WASN’T in popular music much that I know of until EDM made it a thing about 10-15 yrs ago I’d say.
At times. I showed folks the “overtone singing” (I think I found three examples), how sound waves produce harmonics including reading / understanding Spectrograms and what it means.
The fun was that Vine was limited to 6.3s.
So anything I wanted to convey had to fit in that limited time. I don’t know how much I succeeded or failed but it didn’t matter. I had an audience and an opportunity so I used it.
woah I showed off this drop pattern a lot. Somebody took one my Vines doing it and animated it. I can’t draw that. Avicii was big at the time and that pattern seemed to be in EVERY 2013-2015 song.
Oh! I used a Hans Zimmer to mock inspirational political speeches that are set to inspirational music.
It’s a stab at inspirational speeches everywhere. Bernie Sanders happened to give the best one I’ve heard in a while. So, he got used for it. Apr 2016
I mock most politicians eventually, whether I like them or not.
