Oh I agree; not all noise is noise. The line between information and noise is a subjective one; Shannon’s entropy (information theory) good for that. A useful distinction between data and information is that data does not require interpretation but information for it to be information, does. “noise” could well be but a pejorative for ‘”data” much as “junk mail” is for “bulk business mail” and I love my chatty noisy brain and its musings but the chatter to me is noise from a bayesian POV with the presumption that there is supposed to be some sort of clean and clear focused reasoning process which allows for an empty universe to begin with. Well, my brain is never an empty universe.
