Oh absolutely! But native speakers including us usually lack a lot of self-awareness needed to notice structures. We just accept that ‘it’s natural’ but to anybody coming from the outside, they have to puzzle out invisible rules we follow and don’t know it – and make up some rules that don’t exist but make their learning go easier, just as we do.
Have you heard “Language Transfer”? I just tripped over him two days ago via an app on my phone. All free. One guy on a mission for the last 10 years or so with his own way of teaching. 100% audio, no notes,
He works with a learner and you’re supposed to pause just before the learner answers so that you try. Amazingly simple method.
