Of course it’s best to use what’s appropriate. I wouldn’t use this for everyday cooking. Judging by the music and the setting, it seems likely to be a cabin cooking situation, feels like Canada or US Rocky Mountain area with no electricity and only a lighter, a can, a little oil and a tiny bit of meat to be conserved for lack of resources and served and eaten by one. So a man with a hello kitty spoon and all of those resources is making the best of it. Of course it’s all a constructed tiktok lie I’m sure but that’s the impression it gives. It’s elegant camp-cooking ’tis all. No good for a daily routine.

For example, if I was in a situation with a tin can, oil, spoon, plenty of lighter fluid, and a little tiny slab of ham that had to last me a few days, this seems to be an elegant solution to dress up a little cold ham for a treat.
It’s overkill but I’d see someone as doing this who is very alone and needs some self-entertainment that’s mostly harmless enough and creative, not perfection.
