Nothing would have to be an experience that cannot be explained before, during or after with which no words, conceptualizations or even any kind of feeling or memory can remain that is translatable into anything else.

Nothing would have to be an experience that cannot be explained before, during or after with which no words, conceptualizations or even any kind of feeling or memory can remain that is translatable into anything else.

Once we have conceptualized it, becomes a something. The container is, at the very least, the user of the concept, within which the concept resides.

In short, to speak of “nothing” puts ‘it’ into a kind of bucket. An empty bucket? Perhaps but not quite, but a bucket just the same. No bucket, no concept.

Well, where does our comprehension of the concept of nothing come from? It is a concept. Something is taking place within our brains as we consider it.
If anything, it is a placeholder, like infinity, which _inspires_ but does not really
inform.
I suspect, like other “WOAH” concepts, it bounces back and forth literally in the way that mirrors facing each other do, until we’re unable to track its regress any further and then go “woah… dude.. nothing!” – “I know, right!” “woah”. “Yeah”.

I mean, if it can be synonymous with another concept, then it’s the wrong word choice or just a mere alternative.

well it makes sense. Nothing *has* to be entirely subjective and indescribable.
If it was something that could be approached EXTERNALLY, then we are ‘OUTSIDE OF NOTHING”, which means “nothing” is in a container of some kind.

Thank you – yes, in my enthusiasm to say “a lot about nothing”, I missed it.

Yes, Heidegger says it well. It analogizes to Dread and a truly conceptual nothing nothing which is even devout of describable emotion .. well.. there wouldn’t be much to talk about. Even “woah” is something tongue emoticon

I suppose it best FUNCTIONS as a STOP word in social exchanges.

“Say nothing” = Do NOT say anything.
“There is NOTHING there” = a command to STOP looking.
“I know NOTHING” = STOP asking me questions.
