“Note: Ken hasn’t worked with this program in a while and doesn’t seem to be on the Internet any more. ” -JL Hayes 10/15/1996
WHAT!? Oh… yeah. Time – I forgot about u.
I wrote a utility, in pre web browser days (Unix Mosaic was released Feb 1993; Mac and Windows in August 1993. Mosaic became Netscape which died in 2007, but it’s the reason the WWW took over – now where’s my old man cane? GET OFF MAE LAWN!)
Anyway, a long time ago.
I came across a revision to a program I released in Feb ’93 and found a line that had me laughing:
February 3, 1993
“Note: Ken hasn’t worked with this program in a while and doesn’t seem to be on the Internet any more. “
I’M STILL HERE JEFFREY!
You got http://www.oldskool.org/guides/tvdog/index_html but YOU appear to have vanished. poof – so and no I’m not sending you an…. email — get with the program man. I may be collecting my past and bringing it into the present but I’m still here, still learning, still moving forward ’cause the future I want ain’t here yet.
Takeaway points for my few loyal readers here:
a) If you have a presence on the Internet, don’t just disappear.
b) If you do, come back once in a while.
c) Your friends will remember you.
