Not all and not to every royal line. There is a LOT of royal family that I have ZERO connection to.
But I do through this line.
My America connection to Miss Anne comes through John Brockett, “emigrated to the New World in 1637 and he was one of the first settlers of New Haven, CT.
John was a founder and signer of the Wallingford Covenant in 1670″
Barring some hanky panky between the sheets or taking in some neighborhood kids and raising them as their own, it’s likely a factual connection.
Not everybody CAN trace. Anybody whose ancestors came over on slave ships to the USA usually CANNOT trace back beyond a few generations.
And so it is truly a privilege – and yes, a white privilege although not exclusively white – that records were kept of many of my past.

Well, you chose two black men for whom most white people know of for their involvement in black rights in America.
I don’t think Anne B. was working for anybody’s rights of anything except her own.
A better comparison would be if they chose a white person to portray St Augustine, who was black.
