No. Not at all. It’s not about emotional attachment for the person having the procedure. It’s ALREADY a difficult procedure for women going through abortion. They KNOW WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT THEM. They know. They know what people debate about, how they are “used as examples”, seen as loose or immoral or not very smart, or angry feminists or whatever. They know full well the judgement passed on them by a segment of society. They know. At no point is anybody emotionally detached form knowing that there “may be” POTENTIAL that isn’t to be when there is an abortion. And it is difficult. Nobody rushes in like getting candy or ice cream “woo hoo another abortion yay!”. It’s awful but sometimes needed for all kinds of reasons. No, there’s no need for added pathos – they have it already. It’s a waste. What’s left is rights. Not “rights”.
