No. It’s a wedge issue the Republicans use to define themselves as a party with.
They must be seen as THE PARTY AGAINST IMMIGRANTS but more importantly the ‘other party’ must be seen as “THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM” in order to get votes.
So if they eliminate the problem, they eliminate one of the wedges that “seems to” divide the parties.
Republicans need CHAOS at the border. Sells votes.
Why did Texas and Florida spend so much $$$ flying immigrants from planes to “blue states”?
Was it to solve the problem? Save money?
$12,000 per immigrant shipped to martha’s vineyard? Texas using federal funds to ship immigrants to Chicago instead which doesn’t have the infrastructure Texas has had (that they built using federal funds to work on the problem), just to shore up votes for themselves in the next election?
It’s all circus. No bread. Just circus.
They don’t want it solved. Absolutely none of them do, not every Trump. Why was his 4 years so half-assed? Was it due to the Democrats? No. Either incompetence or intentional it worked out the same because you HIRE smart people if you’re incompetent.
