“Ever growing polarity” hints at future civil war. I hear that a lot from people who are convinced it’s inevitable. That’s what I was touching on with that.

“Both parties have done wrong” I addressed with “shirking responsibilities”. I bring that up because saying “everybody is partly to blame” is a common response that is used to avoid doing the hard work of tracking culpibility.
