Neverending Story – That connection between friendly imagination and destructive lies, utilizing the same powers struck as deep a chord with me

It’s not often I watch a movie more than once, but there’s some I don’t mind rewatching.

Neverending Story – I was able to rewatch that one many times.

There’s others but that one stood out because it had all the elements of any good movie of other genres, including a deep philosophical point:

In this case, it’s about childhood imagination turning into Lies by the Nothing. That connection between friendly imagination and destructive lies, utilizing the same powers struck as deep a chord with me as did the Star Wars “Force” – even more so, because it was, alas, an all too real, everyday thing that’s hard to miss once you spot it.

Neverending Story showed the contrast between a fantasy and harsh reality whereas the Force can easily stay in fantasy without having to touch our world.
