Never worked for sleep but I learned it as anti-aniety as a kid. Age 11. Along with biofeedback and guided meditation. The breathing I learned was called “QR method”. Breath in for 6 seconds, hold for 6 seconds, breath out for 6 seconds. I don’t know why 6-6-6 but it was easy to remember. Does it work? Well, along with other tricks, it helps a lot. I still do it.

I’ve been doing QR for… um… 46-11=35. So, 35 yrs practicing it to combat anxiety.

I still lie awake at night. I’m a bad sleeper. No help for that yet.

But it works for anxiety. Still no meds for me, although I probably ‘should’ be on them.
