National Youth Rights Association

I’ll be darned. I looked it up and yup, the Voting Rights Act of 1965 sets completion of sixth grade as its lowest possible starting point for voting intelligence eligibility.

I know some communities have enacted voting eligibility to 16 yrs old instead of 18 yrs old and I knew that is easily within the boundaries of US law, but I didn’t not know that 6th grade completion is the lowest boundary.
