Nah. Federal govt too tiny and far away to rule such a large property. Separation of powers and having partial autonomy for states is an awkward but good system.

They’re convicted of being WOPs. No papers. That’s it. Are they violent? No. Generally they work and pay taxes. They do dirty work citizens expect higher wages for. Plus, the feds are cutting through how many layers here?

Fed, State, County, City. Busting through all those layers.

===

Also, it’s extremely disruptive to the lives of citizens having boots checking papers. How can you run a city if you got great-grandpa checking in all the time?

Romanticizing stuff. Maybe if the USA was the size of a small state it could work, but the USA is too big for a single monarch.

Being a celeb doesn’t mean they’re bad leaders. Any yahoo can get into politics, and does. It just so happens these guys were pretty average although Trump is below average by and far.

It’s all about the show. It’s like a brightly colored present but when you open it there’s not much inside.

  Current President. Ruling Senate and House. Most of the Governors. DisneyXD (except for that x-files type cartoon)… list goes on.

  As someone who has been President of Earth since May 2015 (shown on Google ’til early 2016 as a Google Fact which was fun), being ruler of the planet isn’t hard. So yes, it’s possible if you have a pluralistic mindset.

  US cops walk around half-naked without even a basic shield and are surprised when shot. A measily pistol with no body protection is ridiculous.

  I’m 1/2 deaf so the “perform certain hand motions upon shouting or be shot dead” thing is a bit ridiculous of a method.

  Some of the most unwatchable space sci-fi involves grungy metal space colonies that are running out of supplies and everybody is turning on each other, forming clans ala California State Prison system In Space.But, to each his own. I’m more particular.

  There’s a thing called: planning ahead.
===
Planning for problems is realistic. Reveling in hypothetical problem scenarios for maximum social gain and using it as a template for earth life is a weird kind of cosplay.

 Better than we can’t possibly figure anything out.

  Of course. That’s Boy Scout stuff. The ability to improvise would be a necessary personality trait.

  Space Psychosis trope, yah.

 Even the Wild West wasn’t the Wild West.

 “Space Ark travels across the galaxy for thousands of years and tens of thousands of generations”… oh wait, wrong trope.

  if you don’t like the questionaire, don’t answer it. Not everybody has to cater to you.
===
 Sounds like those groups are effective at using questionaires as personality sorters. Smart!
  I guess most people who ever enjoyed most fiction in the past few thousand years are gay. So gay must mean something different here.

  Star Wars is mythology. Starship Troopers is mythology. Fictions are generally mythological. So, I dunno what you mean.
===
  I once believed The Universe Is Math for a short time, so I was for that period of time I think. It’s modern mythology but it counts.

It’s an analogy from which other analogies can be built on. It’s powerful but not THAT powerful.

  I also study subcultures and the use of memes in forming group cohesion through the mythologies they form within their in-groups – AS A HOBBY.

  Did you know your belly button was your first mouth?

  Theyre modeled in math but also modeled in words or in drawings.

  Same with promises of capitalism and concepts such as ownership. But we humans need our myths.
