Nickelodeon had some creepy stuff in the 80s. I was hooked on The Third Eye, which didn’t last long unfortunately, but it spooked me good then – and looking at this promo for it, I think I’m a little spooked now.
If you ever wondered about the kinds of shows Stranger Things was inspired by — yeah, it was this kind of stuff.

Well, that explains why I always kinda believed I had the ability to see a little more than other people. Introduction to “The Third Eye” on Nick in 1983 had a boy glowing (his eyes glowed too after this) who looked an awful lot like me. I even had that red shirt and had an awful habit of tucking in my shirt like that for a time….
