My point is; forget the news for a moment; there are agencies responsible for nuclear regulation worldwide; and being those that know all the ins and outs of these things; not soldiers, not reporters, not citizen journalism, but people who know how these systems work like nobody else does and ALSO are responsible at high levels, they can give a good health of the whole area in a way that dramatic videos and commentary does not;
remember that fighting isn’t usually 24/7 but are events that then subside and meanwhile people have to go to work the next morning and run things.
What does under Russian control mean exactly for example? Do they have Ukrainian workers continuing to operate it? Did they bring their own people in? What happens when there’s no bombs dropping and no excitement going on and people are getting their sandwhiches and petting their dogs?
Are they making sure nuclear rods are at the right temperature? Are they making phone calls about unleashing damns to make sure water levels are up to snuff, etc?
