My mistake was in an assumption that I didn’t state but should have:
First two stages of Maslow’s needs are taken care of. I don’t think those things need to be part of an economy as they’re, to me, basic needs.

Exactly. An economy can do all their whiz-bang stuff with Love, Esteem, SelfActualization… but when it comes to the bottom two rungs, I don’t think it much matters HOW it’s taken care of so long as it’s taken care of and correctly.
I mean, it’s not really asking much of a society to do that.
