my left arm would SLAM DOWN at full strength when I’m getting ‘into’ something I’m inventing and THWAAAANG.

Yeah, I’m a fast typist and keyboardist. Drawbacks? I’m rough. REALLY rough. Keyboards eventually lose keycaps from my typing. As a kid, I broke bass strings on pianos on more than a few occasions.

[my left arm would SLAM DOWN at full strength when I’m getting ‘into’ something I’m inventing and THWAAAANG. I just kept playing. Church basement Steinway grand was one, another was the Boston Grand at the high school in the auditorium and the little upright piano at home.. well, more times than I should say. [I had change the key of what I was doing to avoid those notes until Mom got to calling the piano guy each time. She was surprisingly patient come to think of it].

Did I skulk off and pretend I didn’t do it? Nope. I was proud that i broke the strings, got yelled at. I wasn’t TRYNG to break the strings, but I wasn’t ashamed either tongue emoticon

I think (always thought anyway) the main purpose of the poker chips was to protect the equipment. I didn’t care about the equipment – still don’t. Computer keyboards can be replaced and piano strings can get bought anew and rewound.
