Musk is gifting US assets and programs to China. He owes them. The USAID thing is the most brazen. China and the US have been on an “who is a better humanitarian nation?” war to the poorer nations for decades now. China has been winning. More rice and beans distributed than us. More programs (see their amazing work in Africa with dams and roads). USAID shuttering will mean only one country is left doing that stuff anymore: China. And while we limp along in court debating about whether to start it up again they’ll swoop in and start feeding the folks we dropped. Then they’ll establish 99 year leases and start improving their infrastructures etc instead of us. Do I “care care”? Not _really_. But it’s bizarre how many can’t see what’s obvious. Is what it is.
