Musical notes are jumbles of dots to me even after years of training.

I had lessons from age 5 -16 years old. Technically I can ‘read’ sheet music sort of, but it mostly looks like jumbles of dots to me, even after years and years and years of training.

If I hear a song though, I can play it after a few tries of figuring out the notes. The rhythm and timing is a little harder for some songs…. but the pitches I can usually manage. When imitating voices, especially a Rap song for example, I sometimes have to play two notes that are next to each other to achieve a similar effect of the way their voices go up and down only slightly.
