Mine I can usually trace back to things I saw, talked about or thought about within the previous two waking periods. Each piece is grabbed entirely out of context and put back together in a narrative, which is how our brains like to organize information whenever possible. I think the lack of context is probably due to the non-eye using visuals lacking a foreground/background illusion so the information chunks just float around and get pieced together in what waking us would consider a “poetic” way.

  I enjoy my dreams. They’re usually quite bright and colorful. This one was big on drama – going from stark contrast to subtleties of shades of gray and barely perceivable outlines back to stark contrast.
