Mine are usually outbursts, so no.
Example: I was saying to my nephew how furry 3D animations are becoming a thing and to just imagine Mario with flowing hair.
He said, “Stop, please, no.” and tried to go back to how excited he was that Super Mario Maker 2 is coming soon.
But it wasn’t long before I said, “He could be like Link, standing in a field of grass”.
His reply: “You didn’t have to say that you know. You could have just chosen to not say that.”
But I had to. It was an outburst.
It’s when I said something about Peach could have realistic blushing cheeks and Mario will get hot and out of breath when he runs, a single bead of sweat running down the side of his face into his flowing mustache…. that he just shook his head, “You did not have to make that choice just then by saying that.”
But he doesn’t get it. I absolutely had to say it.
