middle school special ed teacher working with kids on the ‘gifted’ side of the special ed scale and all the frustrations that go with that. Funny thing is: I knew this even in high school in the late 80s. I took this test about 19 years ago – the MAPP test – paid for it and everything. And I got all the results I would normally get: coach, psychologist, priest/rabbi/minister, kindergarten teacher — but this showed up as #1 and never felt so validated. I didn’t pursue it because life sometimes chooses for you and that’s fine – and the politics of school systems would’ve crushed me. So i have no regrets at all.
