meangirls controlled all friendships and lack thereof. Get past their power and suddenly, I’m likeable

Well, there could be some correlation if not causation as it were, between Sebastian Baun and myself at least, with a tiny bit of introspection:
I didn’t have many friends as a kid. I was fine with it.
Yet, starting from CB radio and then the Internet from 1988-today, I’ve gathered thousands upon thousands of friends. I know their names and something about them all. Can’t recall them all at once, but I know them when I see them and I have a friendly feeling.
Am I making up for not having a big circle of friends in the 4th grade?
Sure.
I think it’s because “my people” weren’t around there; meangirls controlled all friendships and lack thereof. Get past their power and suddenly, I’m likeable tongue emoticon
The “best friend” thing? I’ve had a few through the years. But I prefer a large quantity of better friends. “one and only” concept never seemed viable to me, as I’d expect too much out of a single person. But out of a multitude? A bit here, a bit there, etc.
