For example, I’ve never been atheist and can’t fathom why anyone would bother. But I’ve always been skeptical, in a “consumer beware” sort of way. Anything that looks like a tent revival in character _is_ a religion (general term) to me so I see things as religions that most wouldn’t.

Excess certainty. That’s what drives most of my caution.
