Marnen Laibow-Koser I’ve always been an oddball in that way
I learn to program in basic in elementary school
taught myself at home
when I was first introduced to pre-algebra, in my mind I turned them into little basic programs which nowadays would called pseudo-code
This worked very well for me until I hit calculus which I did miserably on
I suspect I proceduralize things because of the motor system’s involvement.
Music and piano came easily to me as a kid and so mathematics and programming was just another kind of time-based morphing patterns
even the smallest of musical ideas is temporal
so that’s probably my bias and crutch
I don’t have any problem with functions. certain things seem just “instant”. but if I have to puzzle it out in my mind, that’s temporal in nature
