Manufacturers used to not put ingredients on products. Cost too much money, corporate secrets, etc. There was a big fight in the late 1960s over consumer protection and “corporate rights”. We got the ingredient labels and corporations have been pissed ever since about those and other things.
It’s easy to mock “Cape does not allow wearer to fly” because it’s an easy mark. But the same laws that have that are the same laws that provide ingredient lists, safety manuals for consumers, etc. Curtailing is one thing but removal is a dangerous game.
I looked in the Occupational Outlook Handbook. There’s no such job as “regulator”.
Do you mean lawyers?
But there’s no such thing as regulators.
Words on paper and people that enforce those words on paper. Who writes the words?
“Regulators” is a boogeyman. Doesn’t exist. There’s armpit sniffer. That’s a profession.
