There’s a bootstrap thing here because yes, the wilderness is also a domain and a tool is also a domain….
So when you’re confused, you’re back in the wilderness, trying to find or establish a domain.
Oh it was a poor attempt at an alien looking shape with different inputs and outputs.
The commingling was almost an afterthought when I realized that domains intersect and overlap constantly – with both effective and ineffective tools for clear communication or joining so it can get messy.
It’s still using tools to connect, but not all tools are effective tools.
Look at words. A single word can operate in many domains which is great for storage space and our vocal cords, being able to use the same formation to convey a number of meanings in a number of domains. But decoding can be messy as it’s not a very good tool for conveying the domain its operating within as it’s commonly shared but used differently in each domain.
immanence is definitely something that belongs.
I’m showing these things as distinct (domains, tools, wilderness) but really they’re all domains each with their own principles of operation / function.
oh and yes, the small word bubble I wrote this morning and tonight I “zoom in” to the word bubble. It’s a speech bubble because a king “speaks the rules” and all must follow.
VERY nice! Thank you for giving it a seriously look and think. I had a notion that the rules were what defined the domains – akin to “We are a Nation of Laws” in the USA and how literally true that is, particularly when laws get broken successfully (somebody always remembers). – and how the distinct language in a branch of knowledge is a lot of what makes it a distinct domain — but then it is the AXIOMS of a particular branch of knowledge that makes a distinct domain — even if it overlaps with others…
..and a single set of rules applied differently can create separate domains that grow more and more separate… or come back together with a tool like diplomacy…
but i loved how you connected it with imminence and then to fractals. It was ‘hiding there’ but I hadn’t really drawn it out and highlighted it and yet it’s critical.
