Looks like its using statistical whereas I think you’re using geometric?
It’s not that they’re not compatible but their approaches differ and sound weird if you’re going from one to the other.

Yeah, I’d consider that geometric. Continuous ideal surfaces and such. Topological is a different way of thinking than statistical.
I’m more accustomed to statistical, rather than solid-state QM, so I never heard of Berry Phase before. Now I have.

Yeah, this is solid-state stuff. I’m just restarting my research into quantum computing (after a lull for a few years) and have a lot of refreshing and catching up to do.
