Oh it’s not a language issue. It’s more related to the abuse of words. I was born and raised in the USA and we have been under the grip of Edward Bernays since the late 1920s. Emotional marketing, appeal to emotion, getting words and phrases to ‘stick’ in our heads as catch phrases / jingles / now memes and viral ideas – he started it, teaching business leaders and politicians and religious leaders how to make ideas “stick” using basic psychology. So if it’s for show and an appeal to demonstrate outwardly one’s faith, then it’s a marketing ploy for other humans to give human praise. 9 out of 10 times. “see my virtue! I am kneeling at the cross everybody!” And it extends even to places like this. If I start talking about or trying to measure, it cheapens it. Maybe i have none! Maybe I have only a little or a lot. Doesn’t matter. How could I judge anyway? Not my place. apophatic theology – describing God by what God is not – some call it a “god of the gaps” view but it works for me

me? nah. I didn’t even BELIEVE in the possibility of evil or even incorrigibility for a long time, so certainly not demonic inhabitation…
Russia always believes itself to be 3rd Rome, successor of Byzantium who was successor of Rome. So, no need for Greek when you’re Rome. My ‘natural’ religion is probably closest to Unitarian Universalist or Quaker or some kind of Buddhist, all kinds of vague inner light type of stuff. But I found my way to the Orthodox through a few years of exploring various denominations – and religions. Very nearly became Roman Catholic. Anyway, after six solid years Orthodox, read a few books by this guy, and then moved on to something else after that. I never abandon anything I’ve learned. I’m a part of all of those things still in some way.
Go through the middle of the group and go straight to the microwave. Open up the manual door loudly. Press each button slowly while clanking around the glass platter a bit. Close the door loudly and press “Start”. Say “excuse me” without looking at anybody and push through the middle of the group on my way out.
