like, if something is “at rest” so to speak, it might not be aware of much. But if disturbed, it has some awareness of change – and if the change ripples through to the edges of ‘self’, there is, at least for a moment, some awareness of its own extents
but maybe not the object itself with the awareness; but the collective ‘forces’ as it were, the cohesiveness itself being a conscious form through shared forces reacting within a circumscribed object across time with change and physical memory; our own selves a reflection of more basic realities
