I actually don’t see what makes this controversial, except maybe to the people who worship randomness.

I once saw a wonderful explanation about why the infinite monkeys argument is BS and wish I could find it now. It’s related to fitness landscapes, power laws and such, but damned if I can remember where I saw it, so long ago.

Don’t be afraid to practice. Push, ask questions when you see cracks in the armor. They might have all the fancy words that you don’t but you can look it up as you go along.

I’ve gotten better at it but I go in assuming the other people I’m talking to know 10x more than me about the subject. Then I go in 100% even if my 100% doesn’t match up to their level. I learn as I go.

I like being the boy in the story “the Emperor has no clothes”, especially when I see an intelligent person walking around with what looks like a naked mistake that nobody else seems to see.
