Let’s consider the US military the same as any large organization with a hierarchy. Catholic Church. Boy Scouts. Public and Private school systems. Olympics / sports. In all of those examples, ‘everybody knows’ there’s a certain amount of stuff that goes on. That there’s priests/scout leaders/ public or private school teachers or coaches or assistants that are there because they got certain attractions. And the ‘understanding’s is that as long as they keep it in their pants, it is what it is and folks in the organization look the other way. And if there’s a problem with that person, you ship them off quickly away from the temptation and hope it doesn’t “leak out”. So, this is what Jess saw in you guy’s responses.
