Lawful? It’s tricky.
What ICE is _newly_ doing is:
“noncriminal administrative removal warrants” for immigration offenses.
This allows them to act WITHOUT a warrant.
In short, they are not looking for criminals.
You can say “OH THE PAPERWORK IS MESSED UP AND THAT’S A CRIME” but no, that’s not considered CRIMINAL. It’s administrative and non-criminal.

maybe you like it, but as far as the law goes, whatever is left of “law” in the United States anymore, ICE being there doing “raids” is on a technicality. NORMALLY a warrant is required by a judge.
Side-stepping a judge and pretending – PRETENDING – they are acting against hardened criminals, is bad news for ANY Government to do, including the United States.
