Yes, I find lag a fascinating topic wherever it shows up. My favorite lag is the lag that happens within a human being on an individual level, but lags of other levels are also quite fascinating.

Lags involving methodology changes in larger human systems seems to have the longest lag between ideal and what is considered successful result. Often the methodology changes long before results are achieved to get a measurable result and by that time, there’s enough dissatisfaction of what is the “old methology” by then, that the new-new methodology gets all of the attention, and the old old methodology is nearly entirely considered hogwash by then.
