Kinda related/not really related: I didn’t know Kamala Harris was “GenX” until someone pointed it out. Today, a picture of her from the 1980s is floating around. People are saying (in a more or less flattering way) that she looks like – Prince, – “the outsider” character from an 80s teen angst movie, – backup singer for Depeche Mode but for me it confirmed that “yeah, that’s about as GenX a look as it gets” I honestly haven’t paid much attention to VP Kamala Harris just as I didn’t pay much attention to any VP in the past. They have no real independence as VP so it’s hard to judge what they can do really. Anyway, that’s all. TikTok is apparently filled with Kamala Harris glamor edits and T-shirts being sold and worn. Unrelated to the post or comments but it seemed a good a place as any to post a few random bits I’ve noticed – and nothing I said relates to the DNC or mega power plays, etc. Just a fluffy observation.
