Kenneth Udut’s teenage music tastes [I’ve moved on but its confession booth time]

Tough for me. I went through phases.

(for perspective: I was 8 in 1980 and 18 in 1990)

George Carlin / other comedy albums
“Soft rock”
Whatever MTV played
“Classic Rock” (which was Steppenwolf, Eagles, late 60s/early 70s to me) once hair bands were in vogue and didn’t care for them.
Towards the end of adolescence it was new age and folk. (Enya, Robert Miles, Enigma)

Throughout my teenage years I also liked eclectic stuff whenever I could find it. Loved electronic music when I could find it – anything made purely by computer.

80s standards like Metallica, Guns ‘n Roses, a Megadeth or two, Queen where in there….

…and I hated “never gonna give you up” when it was current…. when it became a troll meme a few years ago I had this immense fear that *that* was going to represent the 80s… but thankfully, the better parts of the 80s have returned as well in positive form.
