Just read a story about a 22 yr old woman, who was a grad studying studying clinical counseling, was killed when a 12 year old boy attempted to commit suicide by jumping off an overpass. He landed on the vehicle, killing her and the boyfriend was able to pull the car over to the side of the road. The boy is in serious condition at a nearby hospital. It’s a sad situation all around and I hope the boyfriend and the boy recover and that he gets the help he needs, help that someone like Marisa Harris could have given him. I wanted to see what this overpass looked like. What was the last thing he saw before he made that decision? I used the information from a news article and with Google Maps, found the overpass. This is what the boy saw before he climbed and made that fateful decision to jump. What was the chain of events that led to Marisa Harris’ death? What chain of events led the boy to to this bridge? We may never find out. I could speculate a dozen things and still be wrong. I hope the families get all the help they need and are able to find peace.
