January snow falls
Kenneth shares his life with us
Slow seatwork but bright
In another session I put in the Haiku. It responds:
The January snow falls softly outside,
A peaceful blanket for the world to hide.
Kenneth, our classmate, takes the floor,
Sharing his life and experiences galore.
The slow seatwork seems to drag on and on,
But Kenneth’s stories keep us engaged and strong.
We learn about his travels and his dreams,
And the obstacles he’s overcome, it seems.
Despite the tedious task at hand,
Our spirits are lifted by his command.
The January snow falls, bright and white,
And we leave the classroom feeling light.
