I just got bored with right wing stuff. It’s all I saw for about 4 yrs now, probably since 2013/14. Every common topic, every common debate point. The reverse troll trick. I know of two FB groups that are making it a point to infiltrate this group and I’m sure there are others.

===

Oh I’m sure. But the best trolling is invisible where neither left nor right knows for sure. No calling cards. No group-liking each others comments.

===

This group is post modern perfection. It’s why I love it.

===

If you can blend to where you’re indistinguishable even to yourselves, you’ve done it.

===

My trick is being earnest. Transparent. Fronting (being a megaphone) for a cause occasionally but only so long as to get things rolling. Then I’m back to transparent. It’s not a better way, just how I do things.

===

There’s a deeper method than Socratic though and involves Rhetoric but one where all forms of communication are subsumed under it, even the vaulted Logic. No need to ever use the word Fallacy.

===

Oh, I don’t know if I’m right. I’m here to learn from everybody else. But when I settle to a conclusion, at that point, I’m right.

I nudge my way through. I guess it’s similar, but my victory isn’t a vs battle. It’s more Epicurean I guess.

===

Winning a person rather than winning an argument, although that’s a bonus. If someone sways towards seeing eye to eye with you, even on the smallest but deep point, where it’s genuine, 5 yrs can go by and they’ll remember.

===

tl;dr but I’ll write it anyway –
I want to be wrong. Here to learn. Convince me. Being right is easy. Follow a leader. Open a textbook. Have a favorite Youtuber who convinced you and now you want to convince others.

But if you can show a deeper “what’s right”, it’s not just heartwarming, it’s changing. I got one this morning. It looks cheesy or sarcastic but it’s not. Sometimes always being ironic it can be hard to see genuine.

I had a different conversation – it was on “Why Youtube’s new monetization guidelines are bad”. How I see each person out there as people. Earnest, trying, reaching. How I support the smallest contributors on social networks.

So I got this. Shit like this makes my day.

===

I’m the worst kind of troll.
